I personally think that high and low can only be relevant in relation to your own site. What's high or low on my sites is an entirely separate issue.

Unless you know that the average given is for a site from the same sector as your own it is totally meaningless to you.

If I said I have a 5% CTR and USD 10.00 eCPM, how would that make you feel? Miserable?

Then again I know people with less than 1% CTR and less than USD 1.00 eCPM, how does that make you feel, better?

Some of my sites have 30%+ CTR and an eCPM of USD 80.00+ HOWEVER they only get maybe 30-50 clicks per day, so they'll not make me a million will they?

Unless one has lots of sites like that of course.

You need to try and compare like with like, general averages here mean nothing unless EVERYONE says their earnings are increasing or collapsing and that never happens.

Swings, roundabouts, seasonal fluctuations, Xmas, Easter, Mother's Day, major sports events and prom dresses just too name a few!
