Adsense desktop applications?

Any good desktop applications for Mac and Windows for checking our Adsense accounts so we don't have to log in to the website all day?

I use the Adsense Notifier extension for Firefox. It works well and I'd recommend it.

When you open your browser, it logs onto your account, and at (default) 20-minute intervals, gives you your AdSense report summary in the status bar at the bottom of your browser window.

Is that extension secure? Remember no matter what software we use it has to be safe. Does Google allow third party software?
