Do you encourage advertisers?

As a publisher, I always use Adsense to buy products, if I want to buy a book about widgets, I know where to go (most of the publishers do), but I use the Adsense preview tool and click on the “Books about widgets” and end up buying from one of those websites.

The only reason I do this is to encourage the advertisers.

Anyone else does similar things?

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see how this encourages the advertisers?
