Hey all,
I have recently launched a computing site and have a google adsense account which is currently working great but I have one problem. All pages show the correct relevant ads accept the home page. The site is: <snip> and as you can see, only the homepage displays irrelevant ads. Showing mobile phone adverts when I have no mention of it at all in my text.

Any suggestions why?

Thanks :)

You do not have enough content for a good match. Increase the content on your home page and be sure it includes your keywords.

Current keywords like computing, gallery, and template that are in your content may be causing the irrelevant ads I saw -- Hot Cell Phone Wallpapers -- but hard to say. You are also getting lots of PSA.

Also, you site looks new with little content yet. Until you expand the content, it will be hard for Adsense to get a good feel for what your site is all about. Your META TITLE "The place for everything to do with hardware and software" is pretty vague. Remember that in the US the words "hardware" and "software" can mean many things that have no relationship at all to computers.

Also, I'm sure your link in your post will be removed. It is against the forum TOS to post links.

You might want to check you html code also. You have more than one <head></head> in the code. You may be upsetting the bot.

Thanks for the reply, its a shame we cant post urls as now I wont be able to get more accurate help. Anyway, I made changes to the site, with a different title, more keywords on the homepage and a clean up of the head tags but still get the same mobile phone ads.

But, I set up a page with an image to show as an alternate ad last night, and about 8 hours later, it still shows the same mobile ads.

So, does this mean that I am in fact getting revenue for clicks to those ads or does it simply take more time for alternate ad settings to kick in?

Thanks

You can put the url in your profile, and then people can see where to go.

Thanks for the reply (site link added to profile), have contacted goggle, still waiting but any thoughts on why the homepage still displays non relevant ads?
