Hi,

i use AdSense and i always promote my websites through advertising. Nothing strange. Today Sedo.com has cancelled ALL my click revenue because, they "think" my traffic is huge because "maybe" I advertise my site somewhere and their partner, GOOGLE, does not allow this.
Obviously they say this just a week before making payment. Courious, isn't it?
I perfectly know that Sedo does not allow to incentivate clicks, but i cannot go around the wolrd preventing people to browse my site until it reach "normal traffic stats".
My question is : Could it happen also with Google Adsense?
I do not incentivate clicks in any way, i do not click my self i do not beg ask or pay for click, i just advertise my website. Is this possible through Google Adsense? thanks
Francesco.

Maybe you should have used adwords. Then everyone would be happy.

You advertise a parked website? What kind of "advertising" are you talking about?

Yesterday Sedo told me they found links to my parked page into a newsgroup and a website linking my parked page. They closed my account, they kept all the money earned, even from other parked websites not involved with this one. They did not even give me notice of my account removal and, even if i spent more than 50 dollars in Sedo Ads, they removed every ad without even giving me a refund.

It's so strange this happens just three days before sending payment.

Some considerations about :
1)I advertised that website BEFORE PARKING to Sedo. More , i didn't say "go into my site and click my banners". I just gave my link ans said what my site talks about.
2)I can't be responsable if somebody link my website into his website!
3)Sedo says its strictly forbidden advertising and even posting a link to your parked page.
Ok....But what happens if somebody post a link to my website? What happens if somebody make a review of my site, just to create more content into his site?
I don't think they can prohibit something indipendent from my acts.
However, now my question is : Google admits website advertising? I'm not going around saying "click my banners",
i would just let the world know my f***n website exist!
I saw thousands advertising of adsense-based websites,so the answer to my question seems to be an obvious "yes", but i would like to be sure i wont be banned if i promote my site.

What do you think about?

Maybe I could appear a little too apprehensive, but my experience with Sedo was really depressing.

I'm located in Europe, and I heard of other people with similar problems with Sedo.
thanks for helping
Francesco

A parked domain is not a website. Are we talking about a page for a parked domain here or a website?

I opened my website time ago. After a period using the domain as a normal website, i decided to sell the name. So I removed the website and parked the domain to Sedo servers, following their procedure.Every kind of advertisment i made was BEFORE parking the domain to Sedo.(mind that my site exist since 2001). I tried to explain this to Sedo but they were not interested in listening to me. They did not accuse me of self-clicking or automated clicking. They just think my site is too trafficated and that's because they "think" I'm still marketing it.

However, my rapport with Sedo is ended now, so my basic question is : Can i advertise my adsense based website? Can I say around what i'm talking about into my website etc.? Thanks for helping :)

AdSense will not accept a parked domain. You have to have a real website.

I already have a full developed website with Adsense. It is not a parked page, it's a fully working web site with lots of pages..

My question is : can i advertise my adsense based website around the internet? Can i let people know my website exist?
thanks for helping

It honestly depends on your definition of "advertise".

Paying for banner ads, AdWords clicks, paid links, etc. -- sure. That's completely legit. If you rely on forum spamming, newsgroup URL drops, other sources of free links, "bulk" traffic, etc. -- then you could get into trouble.
