Hi!

I'm planning to buy a package of adsense sites with various unrelated topics. The guy who's selling the pack said I only need a single domain to host those sites.

Is it a good idea to buy that package? Is there anyone earning well, in terms of adsense, from that kind of setup?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Usually these are not unique and people sell several if not hundred of packages like this. They can say it is unique because they wrote the content, but then sell it several time over. You will never rank in search engines.

If you're buying a "package" of sites, most likely you're wasting your money.

Anything that sounds too good to be true is just that, not what it seems.

If several people (3, 30, 300, 3,000?) people buy this "package" Google will give all of them except a couple duplicate content errors and your hard earned money will most likely display at the bottom of the page as...

In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the XX already displayed.
If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included.

Build a real site otherwise the prospects of making money are nil.

Is it a good idea to buy that package?

Ask yourself, if the package is so good, why is he selling it?

Most likely a waste of time and money.
I think you can get many of them packages for free on the Internet. So if you are going to try this anyway, perhaps you should not pay for it.
In my opinion, the best investment in Adsense is simply building your own site...

1) ask to see one of his sites
2) get a typical page
3) extract a smallish sentence
4) google for it (enclosing it in quotes)

This will give you an idea of how many copies of those sites already exist.

Moreover, you cannot know how many more copies will be there in a few months...

Thank you guys for your replies. You definitely saved me money and headache too.

Now, if I build my own site in a single domain with unrelated topics will it also be a good idea? A site similar to the concept of article repositories - that is in a single domain with unrelated topics. Hope you get what I mean.

I got a package of sites of Ebay a while back. I knew that they would not be the little goldmines claimed - I just wanted to try my hand at diversifying. I offered the guy a very cheeky price, and he accepted. Did strike me as somewhat desparate!

Anyway, picked the most likely site, turned it into a real website and got it hosted. Earned about 5c over the course of several weeks I think. It's now long gone. As a contrast, I started a new site a couple of weeks back that is only in the early stages of contruction. Researching and writing content takes time. I'm pleased to say that there is some generic traffic, and I've earned a couple of bucks out of it.

I think the problem of having a non-themed site is that it confuses visitors. Visitors like to know what the site is about. So you could have a selection of topics as long as there was some clear reason as to why they were lumped together in one domain. I'd go for separate domains if the subjects couldn't be connected personally.
