1) Fear of getting banned
2) Fear of getting the "invalid clicks warning"-Email
3) Fear of getting a click attack from competition or Russia
4) Fear of getting an abnormally high CTR
5) Fear of getting an abnormally low CTR
6) Fear of losing pages in Google and thereby losing traffic
7) Fear that someone would copy your idea and your site
8) Fear that Smart Pricing will kill you; low EPC
9) Fear of too many MFA's on your site
10) Fear of getting too many 0,01$-Clicks
11) Fear that high paying advertisers will put you on their filter list

Did I forget sth? :)

Fear of success.

When you've worked hard all your life just to stay even and all of a sudden, you're making more than the neighbors without getting out of bed, it can really kill your motivation to get up and do things:-)

What? Only 11 AdSense fears HuhuFruFru?

You are blessed, I can add at least another 12 but better not play 'the sum of all fears' game for everybody's sake.

Do you know something? I don't fear any of your list!

If any of them were to happen, and a big drop in earnings did happen to me 05.05.05, then I would analyse what had caused it, which I did.

Worrying about "what may happen" creates its own climate of fear and then mistakes occur.

Keep to the T&C's, optimise well and concentrate on your efficient business promotion, everything else will follow naturally.

AdSense represents only about 5-10% of our revenue, although it has about the highest profit margin of all our revenue streams. :)

1) Mostly only feared by those doing something against Google's ToS- no fears here.
2) I'd rather get the warning than being banned with no warning.
3) I think our compitors in Russia have better things to do.
4) Bring it on!
5) Annoying, but we accept the fact that the Internet/traffic goes through cycles. If the low CTR is extended, then we investigate as to the reason.
6) OK, maybe a bit of worry. :) Google accounts for about 70% of our SE traffic. But we have a lot of inbound links from other sites and repeat traffic. If it truly crashed, we'd just have to increase our advertising spend.
7) It's been done (in small pieces). Some of the content has been copied- I report them to their ISPs when discovered. But most of the site is dynamic/database driven. So even if they copied the content, they'd have to manually change all the links.
8) It doesn't kill us- just lower earning sometimes. So we do what we can to improve things. Again, no worries- just stay on top of things.
9) No worries there- the site was around years before AdSense.
10) I'm not going to lose sleep over it.
11) Doubtful. Our niche is too small.

"6) Fear of losing pages in Google and thereby losing traffic"

Nro 1 for me. It doesn't matter if you have regular visitors, good segments to advertise your site to, you are nro 1 in other engines... or whatever. If Google drops your pages completely out or loses 90% of your pages, then it really really shows in earnings.

Mostly only feared by those doing something against Google's ToS- no fears here.

My fear of this is rooted in reading all of the "I got banned for NO reason" threads..

How about the fear of knowing you should have made 100x what you have with AS?
Sometimes being nice is not the best way (most of the time these days it would seem).

I also fear that the world will implode, where will we get our easy money from then?

And not to mention the fear of never feeling that you have succeeded.

What if you constantly work on your site, several hours each and every day, but just doesn't have it in you. I'm having the fear of not getting to the point where I really feel I'm having success with what I do..

1/2 AS + 1/2 YPN = No Fear and sleeping well.

Except if the world implodes!

I don't mind if Armageddon comes, just as long as I get a good seat!

(and my F*ing payment link isn't late)

If you do everything by the book and don't engage in any shady practices, you should have nothing to fear. I sense most of you are heavily dependant on AdSense and my recommendation is to diversify and consider not having all of your eggs in one basket.

Fearful that I'm not grabbing all of the market share I could because I haven't quit my day job to work on my sites full time.

Fear of "Desk Monsters"!

Y'know those things that hang around just behind the base unit in the floor, and grab hold of your ankles and stop you leaving the keyboard to go and join your "loved ones" in the offline world? Yup - them :o)

But as far as Adsense goes - "Fear of more anacronyms - CTR, EPC, CPM, MFA, ....!"

Geez, why fear AdSense?

My ONLY fears are:

1) I'll wake up in the morning and my server has been down all night and I lost a hundred dollars or more while I was sleeping.

2) The server cracks up when I'm many hours away from home with no access point anywhere near to resolve the problem and a lot of money is permanently lost.

Luckily, neither has happened in a long time!

My fears:

Fear my computers, servers, and backups will all die at once, taking all my sites with them.

Fear everybody else's computers will all die at once, making the whole internet thing pointless.

And after reading this thread, I'm now afraid of the desk monsters.

You sound like my wife, she always worries one day the lights will go out and never come back on. I keep reminding her we can generate our own power, not that complicated ;)

My fear is that this thread may continue!
