Putting them onto a previously spidered frames site with good traffic today, it appears that the "targeting" is astray.
A frameset which is all to do with, say, Alabama widgets, is getting "targeted" ads for Italian widgets (note, not public service ads)
If I check on the "google tool" I certainly should be getting the Alabama widgets on that page. Plenty of targeted ads exist, and without frame, these would appear on the site
It would appear that there is a software bug. Anyone else with this problem?
big hello to anyone from Google
I sometimes find ads for Caribbean cruises on my European cruises pages, or Florida vacation rentals in an article on European vacation rentals. And I don't have a framed site.
I don't know why this happens; one guess might be that the Caribbean cruises advertiser has bid on "cruises" or the Florida advertiser has bid on "vacation rentals." If that were the case, AdSense would be technically correct in displaying an ad for Caribbean cruises or Florida vacation rentals, I suppose, even though I don't have anything about the Caribbean or Florida on my site.
Yes, that certainly is happening, and I understand that. But in that case if I used the tool to look at what was lined up to go on your site, I would see those Caribbean Cruises and Florida Vacation Rentals in the starting blocks ready to be loaded into your site
What I am seeing is sites in my starting blocks, but which do not get to the framed site. But which would have got to an unframed page, if you follow my logic
Having said that, I really cannot complain, as by putting this American widgets site onto Adsense the old dollar meter is purring quite nicely today
I will be interested to see whether it continues to click all night (on Cornwall time) as sites to date have been UK oriented with little nightime traffic
