It's only late afternoon on the US West Coast, but stats seem around normal, and if this keeps up, will end up on the lower end of average.

Will be interesting to see if this weekend has any surprises.

All my sites seemed to have above average traffic at the beginning of the day, but it has been dropping off rapidly for about the last hour.

I'm guessing that today will come out about average and figuring that any traffic I get over the holiday weekend will be purely a bonus.

Holiday weekend in the UK and continuing in Germany, traffic definitely down for me so far however earnings look as though they should reach their daily average with a bit of luck.

Good so far, 2 record days in a row. $3 a day... I'm on my way, I think we need more holiday weekends, that would push me up to like $100 a year.

Looks like the CTR and eCPM is the worst it has been for any single day this year. I hope the next 3 days are not any worse.

fairly average but not too bad considering I have had two months worth of downhill performance.

By the way, yesterday I started hunting and killing off MFA's again after cleaning most of them out of my filter list just over two months ago.

Quite bad here, too. With my site being heavily dependent on German plus US traffic and major holidays in Germany AND the US currently or coming up, I'm definitely doomed this weekend.

I'll take it with ease though. This month has been very good to me nevertheless.

Now this is the right attitude:-))

Roller coasters, swings and roundabouts, just so long as the metrics show a steady upwards curve in earnings.

Mine's holiday driven; yesterday was actually the start of my "summer rush. I got about another six weeks of really high traffic, then it kind of slumps off.

OptiRex: Totally agree with you! Nothing is more important than keeping your head cool and focusing on weekly to monthly averages much more than on the totally distracting daily fluctuations.

Best example taken from my experience: Today (Saturday).
It started really really badly. But suddenly during the US afternoon it has become just another average, boring day with earnings totally normal. :)

Bottom Line: Keep cool. Always work on your website with the long term goal in mind. And never care about short-term fluctuations. They don't mean a #!%$.

Will be a slow weekend for me, as expected. Today's stats looked ugly, but I didn't work a lick nor did I have any expenses, so all is good.

May has been awful both in terms of traffic and revenue. Today tops it all off.

My earnings for May are a mere 50% of what they were in March

>2006 Memorial Day Weekend Slump Anyone?

Not for me.....business as usual.....and as all Memorial Day Weekends in the past. Some could see a peak on Memorial weekend.....never me, just business as usual.

Thanks Giving Thursday, and Christmas day usually cause a drop for me, other than those I like all other USA holidays :)

I'll add, for those of you about to go off the deep end. That Traffic is down so I think I just got lucky and people have been clicking the high paying ads.

My traffic's down today, Sunday, and that's understandable if anyone else has been like me!

Late night beers, out of bed very late, watched Monaco Grand Prix, watched World Superbikes, logged-on 6 hours later than usual...vegging and "I'm lovin' it".

Thanks Ronald:-)

> May has been absolutely awful.

Me too. Worse month to date. Guess when traffic drops off 50% thanks to a major site redesign coupled with Google's "Big Daddy" index (which cut the amount of pages Google indexed of the site to about 1/10th of where it was before!) and the rise of Froogle, it's only logical that AdSense earnings will tank too. Still, it's tough getting used to the low Adsense numbers. Here's to hoping June will be better!

I was about to say, this is a very heavy traveling weekend in the US. Many school districts in some states let out on wednesday or thursday, and so many people took off friday and made it a 4-day weekend.

If the weather is nice as well, it's going to really get people outdoors.

All in all, I'm very happy with yesterday. I expect today and money to be way down based on my niche.

I hear you Ann!

If your site has anything to do with a product and therefore gets much of it's traffic from search engines, perhaps you're getting hit by:

1. Big Daddy (do a site:www.example.com search and see how many pages you still have in Google. For example, before Big Daddy, I'd have 550+. Today, I'm at 48).

2. Froogle siphoning off traffic. Google one of your products by brand name, model # and see if Froogle links are now showing as the top search results (for example - canon eos)
