Only your parent's consent, contact Google.

It's probably best to sign up under your mom or dad's name, but ask them first.

You don't need a credit card for AdSense.

SO I could just sign up under their name, what about tax stuff.

No one of them would sign up and the money would go to them and then they could give you some cash. You would do the work ofcourse. Better yet pitch them that half the profit can go into your college fund (after taxes). The income is taxable 1099 at the end of the year and they are responsible to pay it. No sneaky stuff here, play everything above board, you are messing with a major corporation and the US government.

Okay, so just keep tabs on the amount I make, and then have my parents pay taxes on it at the end of the year. Makes sense.

It not only makes sense, it makes "AdSense".

Go to your parents and ask them to set up the account. And show them the site for their approval, tell them what you intend to do.

I'm 15.

If you live in outisde the US there are no taxes. Do like everyone said, and use your dad's name and then he can pay you the money!

What I said was to have Dad use his name to set up an account, so he knows all about it. Definitely don't do it in a parent's name without their knowledge - have them do it themselves if they agree.

If you live in outside the US there are no taxes.

Wrong. You don't need to pay taxes to the US government if you don't live in the US but you do have to pay taxes to your own government.

From reading your posts in other forums, in all probability you aren't going to make enough money in the short term to worry about tax. But there are ways of avoiding even that small tax bill (nb: avoiding tax is legal, evading tax is illegal).

For example, if you are in the UK you could set up a partnership with your parents but take most of the drawings yourself, thereby making use of your tax allowance rather than paying tax on everything that, on paper, your parent's make from Adsense. A partnership would also provide an easy way to offset other costs against tax (eg: hosting fees).

Alternatively, if one of your parents doesn't have a paid job - eg: your mum - then there are two tax allowances you can use (yours and your mums). Set up a partnerhip between the two of you, pay yourselves equally, and then you can maximise use of your tax allowances.

There's a little bit more to it than that, though. Do you have a friend of the family who is an accountant? Your parents should invite them round for a meal, and I'm sure you'd get some good advice over a glass of wine.

In the UK, even in a restaurant, a glass of wine is OK for a 15 year old if it is with a meal.

At least, that was the law when I was 15. Cromwell might have changed things since then.

That's why I don't pay tax. I don't earn enough to be charged for Tax in Canada. (something like $200 dollars a month)
