Again they scared me to death.
It was just an update about changing the
appearance of Google ads.
I think they should always send another email saying
"We are about to send you an email, you're ok, don't panic" :-)

lol webdudek
what was the subject line?
yes they should really choose their email subjects carefully, heart attack pills are not cheap.

The subject was:
"Google AdSense Update: Changes to your ads"

oops
I bet they enjoy doing this, keeping everyone on their toes! I can just see the evil smile on their faces choosing such a subject line.

You could argue that is a descriptive title, but we are all paranoid (a valid consideration).

So perhaps Google could use less descriptive but more friendly title such as "Love and Happiness from Google"

Wow, some of you really worry about this....lol!

Why worry.....it doesn't even cross my mind when I get an email from Google AdSense, that it may be something bad.

....and if it was, big deal, you just get on and find alternatives :-)

Paranoid is just the early stage when you join the program, a new term must be invented for AdSense publishers, we're talking serious advice here to keep your business details a secret from ... none other than your very own family and loved ones.

Next we'll hear of ways to hide your publisher id and password so your left brain hemisphere does not see what the right one has!
Biometrics is definitely in the cards.

(I just got the email now, it was good to have a warning, thank God for WebmasterWorld)

Goog geeks: less funny more compassion please.

Oh no! I haven't received this email yet. Does that mean I'm about to be banned, so they figured why bother?! HELP!

I wouldn't worry about being banned. I was actually banned TWO years ago and I got it today. I am wondering whther to report google for spamming me. Yes that is indeed what they have done before anyone gets all high and mighty

just saying to the person who hadn't got an e-mail not to worry. The great google makes mistakes (shocker eh!) and sends e-mails out to banned publishers and not to legitmate law abiding publishers like him. Quite simple really.

I was asking you about the point in saying Goole is spamming you + the high and mighty part..
