Is Adsense viable for Online Magazines

Are there any online Magazines owners registered with Adsense? And how successful have you been? Aslo what do your mags cover? I'm considering designing an online magazine and registering it with adsense.

I have an online magazine about motorcycles and roadracing (in italian, 200.000 unique users/month), and AS results are quite good, compared with other kind of advertising.

The CTR is not as high as in other websites, and paradoxicalally the worst the content of articles, the better the CTR...

But AS remains the better source of income for my website, and (I hope) the preferred kind of advertising for my readers, because is contextual and not too invasive.

I only would more advertiser in this niche in Italy.

Where do you get your content from?

I have a dozen people that write contents (some professional journalist, some not). I also have a contract with a professional photo studio for MotoGP and Superbike, and of course a lot of press release from motorcycle makers and racing teams. The website is online since 1999.

I run an online magazine that targets specific communities. While the site has been successful, I've had limited success with Adsense.

The site was in existence before AS, so I did bring in a little extra revenue once I added it.

My main problem is traffic. If my traffic stats were a lot higher, I have no doubt that the magazine would be much more profitable from AS.

I create all the content myself.

I travel as a journalist around to male the photos and the intervies.

I need to know, most of you must have paid memberships and subsriptions. If it is the case, you will have limited (and the same)trafiic.

Is it allowed in the TOC to add adsense in the subscribed content? and how much is affects apart from the numbers of visitors?

Anyone is running online FREE magazine just for adsense?

Or are you covering your expenses by direct advertisements? Does adsense allow direct sponsorship ads along with adsense and vice versa?

Even much paper magazines are free and printed only for advertising.
