Company blog and adsense

Is this going to be a problem?

I have been helping a friend learn about adsense by starting blogs. She has been busy setting up several blogs on different topics.

Today she sent out an email to the people in her address book with a link to her newest blog. She has started a blog for her company that will have funny stories and other things to make people laugh. It will be completely clean as far as language and topics. She has written permission from her company to do this using the company name. She is using webblog, so she has adsense ads on each post.

Her company is a large world-wide company so this has the potential to reach everyone in the company as well as whomever they may pass it on to. It's a perfect example of viral marketing.

Becuase this is not a newsletter, she is only sending the web link in any emails, is she going to be ok with Google doing this?

Sending the link is OK, but she should be careful for clicks coming from the same source or ip-adress repeatedly...

I hadn't read the thread above this about someone collecting emails for years and sending out a notice about the new website.

I don't know how many people are in her list, but I believe it is only friends becuase I am one of them based on the emails I've received. But, there you run into the risk of some friend clicking on ads for you. But, she did not mention that in the email, all she had was "Check out my new blog for a laugh" in the subject line nothing but a link in the body of the email.

I don't know, I think she may be treading dangerously, especially if a lot of people forward her email to their friends becuase of the funny stories.

The blog will be available for people at work which may be better than sending emails. Her company has thousands of employees.

nothing wrong with the email, but..

If the clicks come as a result of those "thousands" of employees on the same named network, or share ip-adresses or her friends are all in a specific region... a red flag will rise @ google. ie click-fraud

I've emailed her for more information on who will be able to see this and how they will access it. I've also explained about the possible click fraud if all the clicks come from the same company computers.

I just had a feeling that she may be in over her head and I didn't want to see her get banned before she got started.

Thanks for the quick answers.
