Has anybody had any experience with using the Google Search Bar on their sites? Does it convert good? Right now I have one text ad and one skyscraper ad on my site. The text ad seems to be doing good but I have been readign up on adding the Google Search bar. Again, is it worth it?

The earnings from the search bar are a fraction, compared with the text ads.

I use the search bar as it does a good job of find things on my website, that my search doesn't, but earnings wise, not good.

I just started this website about a month ago. I have about 25 pages of well targeted content. Right now it is not hard to find anything but if I add a page or two of content daily it might eventually be hard to find things. Do you think it is worth it too add the search bar? Will it hurt my earnings, or would it be more beneficial to the user in the long run?

Is it hard to install, or is it just a chunk of code that I can grab from adsense?

I use the search primarily because people are used to using Google search, and it makes sense to me to put up something that's familiar and works for a site search. I get a couple of bucks a month out of it, but I use it mainly because it's familiar to visitors.

It's really easy to add the search bar from Google. It's almost like setting up a text ads, where you select the format and then copy and paste the code.

I think I would implement the search bar more on my site, if they Google allowed us more control of the look of the results page.

The current search results page, doesn't look good, you are allowed to place a small logo at the top of the page, then Google displays a block of 4 or 5 sponsored links across the entire page, after that your content is shown, and then another block of Google ads.

If Google allowed us to control the look of the results, I think it would get alot more support.
