Adsense Dependant? Does Adsense bring in the majority of your income

I'm interested to find out how many people on WW are depending on Adsense for the majority of their income?

It seems that their are quite a few people who are earning really good money of Google Adsense, but it's their main income, which makes me a bit nervous.

Are you dependant on Google or do you have other income from your websites? If Adsense earnings drop will you still be in business?

Most of my income is affiliate income. I've only been focusing on boosting AdSense income (rather haphazardly at first) for the last 6 months; now it's up to $20/day for me. Still a small number compared to my affiliate revenue, though. But I expect it to grow and surpass the affiliates. Then I plan to try to sell advertising directly to provide additional revenue streams.

The word is: Diversify!

Well,

Adsense is the majority of my earned income along with other ad companies but if all of them stopped today I could still get by and barely miss it.

Am I rich? Nope not at all. I learned a long time ago how to live within a budget and still do except for major purchases.

I've diversified a little into selling my own ads direct, and other ad suppliers. Google still accounts for the vast majority of my online income.

We only added AdSense about 6 months ago. It represents about 10-20% of our net revenue.

Of my business income: <10%.

Of the income used to drive the sites that host AS? Maybe 40% I deliberately steer some traffic to other ad networks for comfort, and I get about the same eCPM from them.

AS makes between 70 to 100% of my earnings, the other 0 to 30% is from direct advertisers, I gave up on other networks like chitika & CJ.. Waiting for Yahoo & MSN to come out of the US to the world.

My web sites are my brochure sites for my bricks and mortar businesses.

Having said that it means that the beer tastes even better knowing that Sergy and Brin bought it and that my competitors pay to advertise on the sites:-)

95% - not much worried, because i've managed to deposit a fair amount of earnings during the last year in case it all breaks down.
5% direct ad sales.

Adsense represents 10% of our income, I like to see Adsense as just one of our clients, however they are currently our largest single client.

I'm saving the Adsense money and plan on using it to employ a full time sales person to sell advertising & website design services, which we currently do.

Just trying to diversify client base so I don't become to reliant on any single client.

I'm in the US with a somewhat medium to big website (150,000 Pageviews per month). Yahoo still just won't accept me, grr! I have tried many times to sign up to finally be able to diversify my earnings a little. But until today without success.

I too am still working for the man so I'm not at all dependent on any online $$ for survival (at least for now). But the online cash sure has been a great way to buy those "little extras" along the way!

I am reluctant to give out exact figures -lets just say that I haven't reached what I earn in my regular day job yet, but it's not far short. I run a mixture of niche and general sites and spread my efforts on each.

Affiliates - about 50%

The balance varies from month to month (Feb., March, and July, the affiliate income jumps) but this seems to balance out over the course of the year.

I too still work a regular job. The online income has just about caught up to my regular income. Not enough to retire on yet - the online income is going into the bank vault for now.

You can't beat working a regular job and receiving Adsense earnings as cream on the top. Very nice.
