I'm more concerned about the highly reduced click rate due to the amazing number of irrelevant ads.

I believe the value of my ads have decreased because the higher paying ads have gone walkies... in which case all the low paying ads are now at bay... and the sand doesn't look sooo good anymore.

EPC is down 50% and ads are irrelevant. Not only are the Google SERPs irrelevant, now Adsense has joined them it seems.

Well, I get less than 450 page requests per day and I've been using AdSense less than four months. So there's no point in my trying to work out whether or not my figures have dropped.

What I am sure of is that most of my pages have recently fallen out of Google, and that I keep getting foreign-language ads for hotels in South America (or Spain) on pages that are in English about places in England.

So there's definitely something awry.

If you only ask for negative information - guess what you're going to get?

If you're thinking this is a widespread problem, it's not. My EPC is near an all time high for the month and today is my best day ever - and it's not over yet.

Today is an absolute disaster and the whole week has been poor, but lots of universities in the US are now in finals week, and those college kids click a lot. Targetting has also been pretty weak on some pages, and the competitive ad filter seems to be taking more than a few hours to start blocking new MFA's. All told, I wouldn't be surprised if this month comes in around 40% below average.

I get about 0 to 4 clicks a day. Previously I'd get between $0.00 to $2.00 a day. Now is $0.00 to $0.50 a day.

I think the topic area of some of my sites is fairly prone to MFA and PPC arbitrage sites - in fact, I'm fairly sure of it because I've seen so many when searching at the engines.

What I've definitely noticed is that many of the high quality, highly targeted merchants whose ads I'd see regularly don't seem to be utilizing the content network any more. That's sure to have an impact on click value and earnings, if it's actually the case. And if it is the case, the fault lies with Google for having really, really, REALLY inadequate quality control.

Is the question referring to a ECPM drop for the past days, weeks, months or years? I do not monitor #1 and #2, seems irrelevant to me. Tomorrow or next week ECPM might be the other way around (MPCE?) I believe #3 is close to relevant and #4 is the one to watch. My ECPM has been steadily declining for the past 6 months, and is much lower than same time last year. I Wonder if I have hit the bottom now. But it still not shows what is going on. My drop in ECPM could be an individual smart-pricing matter or an ad-crisis in my niches. There is simply no way to find out. So I'll stick to spending my time on content, content and content. (OK: also checking stats, checking stats and checking stats.)

Well, just to be contrary my EPC is up at the moment although the month as a whole is lower gross income than usual at this point.

Cleared some MFA's and changed to a smaller banner, already noticed 1$+ click, amazingly thats a 4x improvement and at the final hours before adsense resets, that's amazing concidering the value per click drops because adwords advertisers dissapear out of the game by the end of the day.... now let's see how today goes....

(did anyone hear about adwords users being able to choose their location and which could mean their budgets start and end at different times which is possibly already happening as of around 28th april? when things went crazy and crap).

My eCPM is down 20% from a couple months ago, and consistently so - I just checked the averages for each month back to January.

I had Quit My Job For AdSense but have had to go back to work again, as I'm no longer earning enough from AdSense. It's not just the lower eCPM, but I'm also getting less total traffic.

I had thought it was because college students were in finals, but my traffic has been down for six weeks compared to what it was for over six months before. My position in the SERPs is as good as it has ever been.

I just now picked up the tip of using the competitive ad filter to block MFA sites. I used the AdSense Preview Tool to look at each site, and only found one.

I can report the header gave me 4x less than the footer with the same ad type, old channels.. made changes to header we'll see how it goes... but value is really broken up in the header part.

I can't complain about my CPC lately. It went up a lot after going from 3 to 2 ad units per page. Yesterday was a bad CPC day though, but today it's back to normal.

I'm starting to go crazy... I dont wan't to get a real job, I could be earning like 800$+ day right now if adsense wasn't soooo unreliable and drops whenever it feels like. :'(

I have not yet signed up for adsense - shame on me otherwise I could join you in having headaches.

Google currently have plenty of vacancies for ad-sense managers effectively to try and monitor sites and provide customer service.

The fact is there is an increasing number of bogus sites springing up to cash in while they can. The account gets started with a legitimate site and quickly the ads get thrown onto many dodgy sites.

Google themselves will more than likely radically change adsense programme and go along the yahoo route of future applicants being invited.

People who create the false sites are harming every single publisher. People who falsely generate the clicks on their site are harming everyone in the programme.

Overall, I would say I would much prefer to see adsense type text ads on sites as opposed to any pop-ups or pop-unders as those pop-ups etc turn me right off any site and are very outdated now.
