Hi Team.

Hoping for some help here. The closest thing to getting anywhere on the net is this forum. Some good points found after searching.

Anyway I cant seem to view Google Adsense ads on my site or any other sites or that matter. These are the situations I've encountered since searching an answer.
I have Zonealarm, tried the suggested configured settings and this didnt work. I've even turned zonealarm off and then tried again with various browsers, but still no go. Speaking of browsers, I've tried Opera, IE, Avant, Netscape and Firefox, and I still cannot view them even with them all Java Enabled.

I had thought maybe I should install Java Run Time Enviroment but someone here mentioned this has nothing to do with Javascripted ads.

My Proxy settings are set to Auto detect in IE, Tools, Connections, Lan settings etc etc. Plus I also use my home internet connection just in case your all thinking I behind a work network. I've now run into a dead end.

Either Google hates me or I must be missing something. I have a wild hunch that my proxies are stuffed. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Pamana

Do you have any third party software like Norton or MCaffee? Spwyare software maybe stopping it? Google toolbar, I'd say run a hijackthis and sticky me the results. Is it happening only in I.E. or can you try firefox or another browser?

eeek was asking about JavaScript, not Java. They are two completely different beasts.

remove the selected items i sent you with hijackthis, make sure to make a backup, do a adware scan, disable all your startups, clear out the chckntfs.exe trojan, stickied the results back to you, send me a new hijackthis log after your done.

If you are running Windows, check yout hosts file in windows/system32/drivers/etc It's HOSTS - no extension. Edit it with a text editor (or one of the easliy downloadable utilities to edit the hosts file). You may well find that adsense is added to it, and windows won't show any adsense. Just search for adsense and delete any entries containing it. Save the hosts as read only after you have done.

Good News!

After failing youfoundjakes advice with hijackthis I tried your advice.
However I could not find any adsense in there, but these look concerning.

# [Google Inc][Restricted Zone site]
127.0.0.1 adwords.google.com
127.0.0.1 pagead.googlesyndication.com
127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com
127.0.0.1 adservices.google.com
127.0.0.1 www.googleadservices.com

Deleted these entries and WALAAA! I can see ADS!

YES! Thank you ALL for the help.

Cheers!

Panama, do you remember how those entries were placed on your hosts file? I ask this because if you or anyone else from your household didn't put them there, then who? Was it spyware, trojan horse? If so, this could be another one affecting our adsense income.

Sorry thegreatpretender, not sure know how they got there.
However, I've done a lot with this machine.

I've played with zonealarm quite a lot, and may have accidently configured it to save these entries (if it can do this)
