Picasa referrals - anyone using them?

Just wondering what sort of success people are having with them, and if showing the ads dents your earnings.

Other point of interest is all the referrals say earn up to $1. Wonder how they decide how much of a dollar you get? Usual technique of waving a bit of wet seaweed around in the car park, thinking of a number and telling us that it's an algorithm that works I guess.

Made $5 yesterday, and $4 the day before when it was announced.

Total earnings are terrible for the past 2 days, not sure it is referral related but I know that firefox shaved off a good percentage of my total number PPC clicks, visitors are on either / or mode, if they click firefox, I lost them on PPC.

As for how I am sure it's geographical again like firefox.

Giving it a test drive. It's early to make a comment yet. Photography, digital camera etc. sites would benefit from that greatly.
