Note from the Google AdSense Team

My heartbeat stopped for a moment

Received a mail from Adsense with the above subject line. For a moment, my heart skipped a beat. They have never written a mail to be before. Why are they writing now? Am I banned? Did I do something wrong? A thousand thoughts raced to my mind.

Thankfully it was just a newsletter. Phew.

Thank you adsense for still keeping me on! And for all those suggestions in that announcement.

/Is there a term for the dread we publishers feel about the possibility of getting kicked out of Adsense? This even though we know we are following their TOS to the letter T!

The german translation is not that terrifying: Translated back to english it is "News from Adsense team".

Maybe they should change the english subject line to avoid injury.

This is just seriously unhealthy.

I know exactly what you mean. The G income is now less of a bonus, and more of a necessity. A bad news message from Big G is more like being fired.

Call it ANGEL DOSE GOES (and anagram of Google Adsense).

OMG I didn't get one, does this mean I'm going to be banned? ... getting that dread feeling ...

andrea99 >>

This is just an email telling of AdSense updates. The paranoia that appears to be rampant, is unjustified and unnecessary.

It's hard to believe that people wait on the edge of their chairs for a 'you've been banned' email.

Google does NOT want to ban people. They just want to ban cheats and frauds!

Yay!

And just who forecast something was going on with probable new stuff?

I got that email too and was also thinking it was a getting-kicked-out email - I was nervous about opening it, thinking, well, this might be it. Luckily it wasn't.

Pretty funny, or not really you see an e-mail in your Google folder and you don't want to look, but you must. ;)

I did not get the email, I think my ISP is again blocking emails. When I started Adsense , they would reply to emails in 2-3 days , but for the last 1 year, I have not received a single reply from Adsense. Difficult to pinpoint the problem

Btw, what is the title of email for "You been banned from Google Adsense"?

It is simply "Account Disabled"

Yeah, the headline made me nervous too.

Hopefully AdsenseAdvisor sees this thread and makes a note to the appropriate person at Google to use a less ambiguous topic.

Yeah, "Note from the Google AdSense Team" is pretty vague.
"AdSense Newsletter" (or something obviously NOT personal and more descriptive with what the email is about) would be better.
