MediaPartners Bot Mean Time

What is it from page going live to visit?

Does anyone have a warm fuzzy feeling about the mean time it takes from the time a web page is made public until MediaPartners bot visits the site? I publish newsletters that the only links to the newsletter are in emails sent to the distribution list, and I want to make sure PS ads are not served up from the time I send out the emails.

Googlebot has been to my site within seconds of the very first page view of the first page. It can take minutes or sometimes hours for the targeted ads to display. If you can get your newsletter page up a few hours before you send out the email, you should be fine, although to play it safe, you might want to give it 24 hours.

Thanks Jenstar

That is pretty fast. I was actually going to be real conservative and wait 48 hours, but now I may only wait 36.

The other day, I added a couple of pages and found them being visited within 20 minutes.

When I add new pages with Adsense, I visit them from two different computers and find that it takes only a few minutes for the PSA ads to go away and for real ads to appear. I've never waited more than 30 minutes to see real ads.

we added about 60,000 new pages recently, and since it takes awhile for people to find each and every one, we see the mediabot quite frequently. 2 to 4 minutes seems to be the usual time before it shows up after a page is first served. After that, targeted ad timing is more variable...from several minutes to an hour or more.

I have found like other users that Mediabot usually visits right away, and then anywhere from 1 hour to a day later i will get targeted ads. Latlely i have found targeted ads appearing, and then going to PSA's for a few hours / days, and then back to targeted ads after awhile.

Over the months i have also found that pages within the google index contain targeted ads with a far less occurance of PSA's. When i put up new pages and see mediabot visit, i will get targeted ads after mediabot has calculated what the page is about, but then go back to PSA's, and then back to targeted ads. Pages that have been spidered by googletbot and are in the index seem to contain targeted ads at a much greater rate than non indexed pages.

Anyone else see this trend or have I been kidding myself for half a year?
