Running the risk of beating a dead horse, is anyone else seeing abnormally low earnings today?

Yes, on two of my channels I have 2 clicks for a total of 3 cents per channel. Thinking of switching to yahoo for the day.

My AdSense stats are way behind my logs. This has been happening for the past few days...they're up to something again or busy printing my money:-)

I'm currently 1/3rd where I usually am at this time of day. My traffic is good, even above average, but Ecpm is way down!

Yesterday almost broke the record, and today is not too far behind.

"Yesterday almost broke the record, and today is not too far behind. "

I assume you mean for slowness?

After a record breaking April, it has been slow yesterday and so far today. I do not worry about it, as what counts is the overall average for the month.

I have one account steaming and the other laid on its back wondering what it's done wrong.

The stats are definitely updating at very odd intervals.

Something new's coming, this is what happens everytime the Urchin server starts messing about.

Thinking about it, is it the next sequence of the Big Daddy update/roll out, or has that already happened?

Sunday was poor traffic and great EPC. Yesterday was great traffic and poor EPC.

Maybe something is coming. I'm sure seeing changes in the Google search results.

My traffic is through the roof for the past week. I am talking an increase of about 300% when talking about new visitors.

Making less $$'s though because my clicks haven't increase just page views.

What is weird is almost none of this new traffic is from G search.

Demaestro, can you tell if the traffic is from a big newsletter or featured on a popular web page?

I find links from that sort of source for some reason don't bring many clicks.

It's still great though. Hopefully some of those people will tell others about your site and if they have a web site they might link to you.

ECP and CTR are off to a slower-than-usual start this month. Traffic is good, though.

I get a lot of international traffic, so the May Day holiday weekend is likely to have had an impact.

Yes not sure about the newsletter, I usually get some type of email client as the referer so far according to my logs they were direct hits which to me sounds strange that so many people would just type in my domain. It isn't something you would just try.

I am going to generate another logfile report tonight so perhapsthat will give me more info. I am happy for the traffic just not sure how I feel about it driving down my $$ per click

Slow Today? Running the risk of beating a dead horse...

I didn't realise that a dead horse could move slowly.

EFV wrote:

Ah, there you go again, EFV, jumping to conclusions - a couple of day's data don't make a trend, you know.

<runs for cover>
<protects head with pad>
<hopes EFV>
<ain't too mad>

PS: today is absolutely average so far for me.

I am seeing the same, glad its not just me, every time that happens I start looking at traffic stats looking for any suspicious activity that could warrant a manual review.
Or could it just OptiRex and me?

Or could it just OptiRex and me?

Probably we are just making reassuring posts for the many who do not:-)

Today is even stranger:

33% of the day gone
AdSense is telling me I have had 25% of my average page impressions so far
AdSense is telling me I have had 25% of my average earnings so far
My logs are telling me everything is better than normal with 50% of my average Wednesday traffic...

Something is running very, very slow...ah well, it's a lovely day here, maybe an early beer and return to a huge click dump? :-)

Obviously I seem to have nothing better to do today since I can't rev myself up to answer all those darned e-mails!

Sorry to jump into the discussion this late, but maybe a lot of people has your page bookmarked.. and then they saw something about your page-topic on the tv or something --> huge jump in visitors!

And.. of course, maybe not ;)

Praying for a dump here! yesterday was my busiest day ever according to google, today according to google traffic and clicks are well below par. I can't really belive this.
