If I promote my website in my own building first just because it's easier at the beginning, but then will G credit me my visitors' clicks? After all, it's a [bold]same address[/bold]!

Quite possibly not, and you run a real risk of being banned altogether if a significant number of clicks come from the same IP. How is Google to know these are genuine and not you clicking your own ads? Be careful!

I wouldnt risk it. I dont even advertise my site inside my state just to be safe...lol

I wouldn't risk it. Why would you promote your site in your own building? I guess that only makes sense if your site actually is about your building or campus;-) But why bother? The Internet is the ultimate global village, you can promote your site worldwide from day one. I am in Holland and I am reading your message now...
