It's just the servers synchronising - they can end up going backwards temporarily, but will then go forwards again. Eg: if you look at the current page, and then advanced reports, or daily amounts for this month, you may get different answers (now).

It happens all the time and is nothing to be concerned about.

Yes, it's happened here too. Give it a day or so and it will have resolved itself. Don't worry!

Actually, I find it usually resolves itself within half an hour (perhaps a little longer in rare circumstances). Eg: my summary earnings for today just jumped back by 5 dollars. But ten minutes later they went back to the original figure. This probably says more about me being a stats geek than anything else, but this sort of thing happens many times each day.

Yeah man, don't worry! I haven't been with this program even a month and still can't go beyond 20 cents...
No worries!..

I have seen $x70 referral earnings in last month's reports, and $x60 in the pip referrals payment details. Obviously a $10 has been cut out, while this month did not see that $10 jump in referral earnings, the amount is not worth opening a support ticket over.
So yes, money gets 'removed'.

This happens regularly to me. But mostly revised upwards. Haven't yet seen money cut but I suppose it may happen after some sort of review in some rare cases.

I have also seen the same, x earning for last month and x-20 in the payment details.
I sent an email to G and they said that these were invalid and non legitimate clicks.
I don't really get it why and how they say that the click is invalid only a month later, but I don't have the tools to argue.

For me it's the opposite!

I looked an hour ago and now adsense is showing $3 more :-)

I've seen this trend for over a year now but has never caused a problem, it jumps back a bit but then jumps forward again usually within 60 minutes, also, if you call up the monthly total, it will often show a different individual current day total than if you select "last 7 days" or "today" for example.
