I just came upon one really big publisher that has "Ads For You" label above Google Ads. Hmmm.... What do you think?

if its a realy big publisher then they can get away with it, google already know about it as the publisher told them they were going to do it and google said ok.

I have see on another big publisher site that google and yahoo have been on the same page side by side, I have also see on the same site the words

"you can click on the ads with your right mouse button and and they will open in a new window, your download will not be interupted"

or words to that effect anyway

they can get away with it

Rules for premium publishers are different, so whereas they may be allowed to label ads that way, non-premium publishers are certainly on dodgy ground.

Publishers may not label the ads with text other than "sponsored links" or "advertisements." This includes any text directly above our ads that could be confused with, or attempt to be associated with Google ads.

But I guess it's in the same moral vein as Google's allowed labeling so he's probably not going to come to any harm. Only Google can decide though.

There is no harm in reporting him anyway.

I think it doesn't say "click the ads" - I'd still rat them out as it's not one of the authorized texts like "sponsored links"
