Think about this in terms of your earnings

I myself have been an adsense user for sometime now, but never in my life dreamed I would make anymore money than I did originaly, maybe my dreams are coming true?

If your making over 600$ and your ctr is only 0.20% or less, and your click value is far below a dollar, then can you say that this really does mean your site is actualy a quality web-site and the traffic you actualy achive to make that 600$+ is really genuinely high in comparison to the click through rate, in all this can only mean one thing success.

However do you have 20% CTR? then you can hardly say your succesful because your traffic is leaving you before it's even had a chance to settle in.

Just a though, somthing to concider when you think about CTR as important, is it?

You bring up an interesting point. A site with a 20% AdSense CTR is likely to be missing out on opportunities for revenues from CPM display ads, affiliate sales, and other sources of revenue. Plus, it's likely to be getting only one shot at the visitor.

On the other hand, people whose sites have AdSense clickthrough rates of 20% or more probably aren't interested in other sources of revenue: They're likely to have built their sites with AdSense in mind and are willing to accept the risks of relying on one-time visitors and a single revenue source.

And thats their own downfall.

In the end a person who makes 600$+ a day on 0.1% ctr is going to be the one laughing, because he doesn't have to bet on the reliablity of it's users clicking his ads to make his fortune, that's somthing that he let's people make the choice over without bombarding them, he just has to worry about more traffic.

Personaly the most important thing is repeat traffic, seeing the same amount of traffic a night with a little more each day clearly shows a trend and growth over a year period from nothing to somthing.

Earn real traffic by building a site people want to use, keep your users coming back for more in which you offer them an addictive onsite mailbox for example, and enjoy the low CTR (repeat visitors have already clicked so you'd expect this to be accidental only) and live off new member signs-ups who are not aware of your ads.

I don't think too many people make $600 a day with 0.2% CTR.

Imagine it was 20% CTR... 600$ at 0.2% to 20% = 60,000$ right? ... dyam.

At least at 0.2% your safer from click fraud in my opinion because you have so many real page hits and real clicks that it's more unlikely that someone will cause adsense to "get worried" and being so low on the CTR just keeps adsense from being Alarmed when you reach 2000$ day lol.

Strikes me that your examples are both extremes, and the one earning the most is going to be the guy in the middle with a moderate, steady ctr and a stable epc.
