I have experience in search engine optimisation. But I have no personal website coz, I am doing SEO on behalf of my employer. Now I am planning of starting my own site with free SEO instructions. So, people who visit can read lot of articles which are written by me and those are based on my extensove research and reading. I have read a lot about SEO.

In future I am planning to offer my service at a cost. But at this stage I am not going to do that since I have no client base. Anyway all those articles on my website will be free to the world and I will continually update those.

Please advice me if I join Google AdSense, will I be able to make any money with that? So I can cover up my hosting costs at least.

Take a look at how much competition there is for your sites genre and look at how many searches are made for it. If there is enough interest in a topic and their is quality content on the site then you should do ok.

As long as you have traffic then adsense will pay the bills.

Good free information is the way to go, but you must decide which type of site yours will be:

a) An authorative site about SEO
b) A commercial company site that offers free info on the side

The approach towards advertising for each is different as you probably well know. I think you are going for (a) with an eye on (b)

In which case as said before, your key factor will be how good are you to grab a place in serps among fierce competition in your niche, but any way, if you have good content and good traffic, the money will follow, just think how you will get in that traffic first as deviantlnx said.

Hobbs, As you said I am going to do (a) with an eye on (b). But implementeation of (b) won't be soon as I have to build traffic to my site.

Anyway what are your sites? And How much are you making with them?
