I am sure many of you already know this, but being a newbie to AdSense I try just about anything!

Running the cursor over 'Ads by Gooooooogle ' provides a URL string in the status bar at the bottom of the window, which INCLUDES the URL of the advertiser.

Yep, as I said, many already know, but I have seen a number of threads asking about this, so hope it provides a solution for those of you who are not sure how to find the advertiser without clicking on the ad!

right click on ad, copy shortcut, paste it somewhere and the advertiser's domain is inside the long string.
or,
lookup adsense preview tool, click within the tool window only (it's ok) and you go to the advertiser's page.

And yet another way...

Right click and select 'view source' which will place the code for the entire adblock in notepad. Then you can search for the term 'adurl' - the URLs can be found a little beyond each instance of 'adurl' (up to 5 of them if using a wide skyscraper). You can then just copy the 'safe' (no google code) part of the URL if you want to see the page, or you can copy the base URL (example.com without the 'www.') if you want to block it.
