Hello,

I read a topic about "Its possible to make money with quality sites.." something like this..
But this topic is a little different..

My site is a quality site (problem is that i dont have looongg texts, normally is short text and a few imgs)
So.. I want to know if its possible to make money using "clear" strategys as i will earn if i use bad strategys.. like blending ads in navigation bar, blending contents with ads.. Because i dont want to deceive the people..
This "etic" position have nonsense in advertising world?

------------

Another question is about ads "combo":

using 3 img ads will low the cpc or cpm like low 3 txt ads? (wide skyscraper, large rectangle and half banner)

using 1 link group in nav bar and 2 img ads is worst because i have more chance to have a low paid ads? or the img ads will show only low paid ads?

its better to use 3 img/text ads in the place of 3 img ads? (for games site)

img ads bring me less money?

its better to use only 2 ads? (1 img ad and a 1 txt/img ad?)

Using ads only in pages that i have high possibility to people click and removing them in another pages will encrease my earnings and DONT make any significant diference in my profit?

-----------

thx

Hello wifi3;

Welcome to WW and the Adsense forum.

I'm not sure I understand your question, but I'll give it a shot.

Pages that featiure an image and little text can work. But the amount of text can affect which ads are shown. Simply put more text can give Adsense a better idea of what the page is about.

Anyhow, just get the ads up where people will see them, and I'd suggest using an Adlinks unit on the page also.

When it comes to Image ads, you can set your prefs for image ads only, but that might not be a good idea because not all categories have enough image ads to fill the spaces available. I'd recommend using the "image and text" setting.

I think you may be confusing a "clear" strategy with the difference between white hat / black hat. Clear just means well-defined, well-planned-out. You seem to be talking about "white hat" stuff, which is good ethical design as opposed to tricky or deceptive "black hat" methods.

Anyway, it's very possible to make lots of money with white hat methods.

Also, as far as ad placement goes, you want to blend the ads sufficiently that the users read them and will click them if the product seems interesting, but you don't want to trick them into thinking the ads are a navigational part of your site. This way you're being very ethical but still getting clicks.

Basically, you want to "trick" the user into looking at the ads, and have the user consciously decide to click the ad.

Also, my site is similar to yours in that it's mostly pictures with captions... it still does fine with AdSense.
