Hi everyone,

I've read a few threads and it seems like Wordpress is most often mentioned in conjunction with Adsense and blogging.

I am going to start up a new blogging site on my domain. My son will do the blogging and we will probably use Adsense though I would consider other possibilities if anyone has a recommendation. My son is pretty good at writing and I am looking for easy-to-use blogging software that can be used in conjunction with the domain name and Adsense.

Thanks for any advice,
Regards
Rich

I've tried both Wordpress and B2Evolution, which is very similar. The first one that I ever used is Movable Type and it is the one that I still prefer to use.

Wordpress works fine with Adsense. They have an Adsense plugin, you can find it by Googling "wordpress adsense plugin", and in my opinion, it works fine. At least I get targeted ads, and I can't say that about my Blogger blogs...

BTW, you mention a domain, wich is not allowed in this forum. But just curious, is it just an example or did ya really get that specific domain?

blogger.com really has to be the first that you try as it comes from the adsense providers themselves.

I use blogger as sort of a content manager to keep fresh information appearing on my site. Blogger then puts each new message on my site via ftp - which I reckon looks better than using a .blogspot.com address.

Blogger also makes it really easy to include the adsense javascript in the blog template. It will give you a default ad tower first up. It will also help you sign up for adsense if required.

Other blogging editing sites may provide more features than blogger.com, but so far the depth of features they provide are enough for me.
