Alternate Ad Url

Absolute or Relative?

Does anybody know if the Alternate Ad Url needs to be an absolute link, or can it be relative to the page the code is on?

Pretty sure it is absolute, since it is Google script who is calling the page, not the webpage (server) the ad is on. I've only used absolute URLs but it "may" work the other way.
