1/2 year on adsense and a old thread question

Hi everyone,

After a half year on adsense, with a dozen quality inbound links and a regularly updated site, I have roughly 500 unique visitors a day. The click through rate appears to be in the 2-4% range. Does this sound normal?

I am now looking for ways to boost the click through rate and site traffic. I read an old thread about a person who placed ads on adsense about his site and generated extra revenue from placing the ads by increasing his traffic and CTR. This person tracked his results after increasing his adsense investment. I tried to search for the thread, does anyone have any ideas?

Just experiment with the placement and colors of your ads, and the size of the ads. I changed the placement of my ads, and went from about 7% CTR to about 10-12%.

The best placement/color/size, will depend on the layout of your site. The ads may work best blended in with your site, or they may work better if they stand out a bit. Just change the ads around a bit, and keep track of the results.
