same domain name for new web site?

I have an idea for a new website. It is roughly related to my existing website, so it would not be out of the question to use the same domain name.

What would work better for generating income from Adsense? Should I get a new domain name for the new site, and perhaps link between the two sites. Or should I just make it part of my existing site?

Why not just use it to increase the size and worth of your existing site?
