Poor targeting on ONE page

(my highest traffic page!)

I have one page (by FAR the page that gets most of my traffic) that has been getting nothing but 'Suduko' and 'piano lessons' ads for the last week. Before then, the ads were perfectly targeted to the content of the page (a V E R Y popular subject). When i look at all my competitor's pages, they all have perfectly targeted ads (like i had a week or 2 ago).. The only thing i can think of that i changed was adding a background, using:
<style>
body {
background-color: ffffff;
background-image: url('http://background.jpg');
blah..blah..

What would cause a sudden lack of targeting, could adding that background have done it?.. and how can i fix it?

I'm facing the same problem, poor targeting on my main, highest traffic page. I hope the solution is section targeting, I have implemented the code a few minutes ago and now I wait for the Google Mediapartners bot to crawl the page.

Many AdWords advertisers use a monthly or quarterly budget. In my experience this always causes peeks and downs at the end of the month when some advertisers have no budget left. This can cause a shuffle of ads in your ad blocks and influence targeting and CTR. Remember we just ended March and April started with a weekend. Some advertisers may wait to add new budgets until they start working at Monday. If this is the case, targeting should improve in the next days.

I'll see by the end of the day if it was budgets..

AFWIW: i forgot to mention that i tried section targeting for over a week and it did not help.

I have the exact same problem on at least 4-5 pages on my site. I've edited the words, implemented section targeting, and tried to focus on keywords I know are paying and I still can't get the targeting. In fact the pages are only showing 1 MFA ad each...It really sucks!

I experienced this problem once. One of my pages suddenly stopped showing targetted ads and then PSA's.

I wrote a polite mail to google adsense giving the link of the page to them and they fixed the problem within 3 working days and sent a polite apology mail also. I sent them a thank you note ... Simple solution.
