Google Adsense ads keep vanishing!

Hi,

Recently I was accepted by Google Adsense. I was able to put the ads up. However, the ads keep vanishing from my pages. In about an hour or so after I've put them up, they vanish. I have to change the color of the code to get them up again and then they vanish in a little while.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

Thanks

Westart

This is a long shot but is it possible the old version of your site (without the ads) is still in your computers cache. IE6 can be a bit buggy at displaying new content... I have had experience of the browser showing the new page then reverting back to the old page.

What to do is load the page in your browser. then press CTRL + [F5] this will instruct your system to drop the cach version and refresh it with the new one.

Hope this helps.

Mack.

Hi Mack,

Thanks for your input. I tried that but it didn't work.

Is it only your site or are you seeing this happen on or, other sites running adsence?

PS welcome to Webmasterworld. :-)

Hi Mack,

Thanks for your interest in my problem. This is only happening on the site on which I'm using Adsense. Here's the URL:

Mack,

I had someone check my site and they said the Google ads are up, but they don't appear on my browser. Can you see them? How can I tell what's happening?

Thanks.

I visited your site and everything looks fine (good targeted ads).

BTW: posting urls is not allowed in this forum

Hi,

It's strange. Apparently other people can see my Google ads and I can't. Any ideas?

Do you use an internet security type of program? (ie. Norton Internet Security). It is often a default "on" setting which block ads.

You might also want to try running Spybot or AdAware to see if an adware program is at the root of the problem.

Are you seeing AdSense ads on any other site that runs AdSense?

Hi,
I posted a while back with the same problem. I knew I was not the only one.
It is something to do with your setup but I don't know what. Try this: search in google for a kyworld you know you will find your site for click and you will see the ads.

OK, I have also noticed this. I call up a page and there are no ads showing. Panic sets in. Then I do a forced refresh (Ctrl+F5 in IE6) and now I see the ads.

My guess is that the AdSense server is busy and does not deliver ads the first time.

I had exactly the same problem when it came to my site - you just need to clean out the cache on your IE browser.

Even I experienced the same but I dont think it is cache problem. I will go with anallawalla.

I've just had a similar problem, but not with IE (for a change!).

I added the adcode to an extra site. Within 24 hours targetted ads appeared fine with IE, Netscape, Opera, but I got only alternate ads with Mozilla Firebird (currently my main browser). The same adcode is working fine with Firebird on other domains.

After a lot of reloading, headscratching etc I eventually deleted the Firebird cache and cookies and restarted the browser, which cured it. Note the ads were never actually blank - just always the alternate ad, within the one domain only and only with that browser (fine elsewhere even with same adcode and same browser). Very strange.

Check your Java permissions. Chances are that is blocking the ads, or your firewall is.

Yes, I had the same problem and it turned out my javascript was turned off. In IE, go to tools > internet options > security and try setting it to default/medium. HTH.
