How does Adsense pay you?

I'm looking into adsense for a future site. But I don't have it up and running yet so I can't apply.

My question is how do they pay you?

I'm in the UK but will soon be in Cyprus. Do they pay into all international banks? Or is it cheque form?

Either by cheque or electronic payment into bank accounts to these countries ( [google.com...] ), no Cyprus there I am afraid. What about opening up a HSBC account in the UK and checking whether there is one in Cyprus. I am not sure how multi national banks work though....

Wait until you get settled to apply. Apparently you can't change the country information on your account; you have to close the old account and open a new one.

Does it matter if I keep the same UK bank (I can transfer the money myself) and the country info isnt correct? I mean will they ever know I'm not living at say my mothers address in the UK?

I can transfer the money myself

You should check out what the transfer charges might be for that. I routinely transfer funds from here in the UK, to Canada, from a UK high street bank to a Canadian high street bank. The charge is in the region of £24 sterling per transaction. I normally make a transfer monthly, so that's 12x£24=£288 P.A.

It's fast and convenient, but I have to say I can think of better ways of spending £300 each year.

Yeah just looked into that. Not sure if I can do it very cheaply. Called the banks in the uk to ask for advice and got through to some other country. The people on the other end thought that Cyprus was a branch in the UK so I gave up!

You would need to consider the exchange rate too. I've been keeping a spreadsheet of the Pound Sterling to Canadian Dollar rates over the last few years (as I said, I make monthly transfers so I need to be aware of it).

Mar 2003, £5,000 sterling converted to $11,900 Canadian.
Sep 2003, £5,000 sterling converted to $10,800 Canadian.
Jun 2004, £5,000 sterling converted to $12,500 Canadian.
Jan 2006, £5,000 sterling converted to $10,000 Canadian.

So even though the same amount left here on each of those occasions, vastly different amounts were arriving in Canada. Or to look at it the other way - to make the same amount arrive in Canada each time, then the amount leaving here would of course vary dramatically. I'm no economist so I can't offer advice, but it's something else to be aware of - exchange rate fluctuations can work for you, or against you.
