When you pay taxes on adsense is it like working for a company or is it considered your own business?

It's like being a freelancer with your own business.

If you live in the U.S., you'll normally use Schedule C to enter your AdSense income, deduct expenses, and end up with the profit or loss that gets transferred to Form 1040. See the instructions for Schedule C at the IRS Web site, or--better yet--use a program like TurboTax or TaxCut, which will conduct a step-by-step "interview" and fill in the forms for you.
