Minimum for Google Section Targeting

When using the google section targeting code, what is the recommended minimum content to have included?

For example, a lot of my artilces are only 250 - 300 words in length. Can I place the targeting code successfully around only say 1 paragraph. (about 50 words)
Do you think this will work successfully? How much content do you include betweek your targeting tags?

I think anything should be fine. Only that the G Algorithm must get the keyword out from it to get out the ads you want.
