Can I put AdSense on a site I don't own?

My wife is interested in making a website and would like to do adsense since it's a nice way to make some extra cash. We would like to just use my Adsense account for simplicity's sake.

Yahoo will only sell you their domains for 2.99 if you're a first time customer, so I can't register the site in my name for that price. If we registered it in her name, could we still use my Adsense account for the ads?

If you live in a community property state, then you own whatever your wife owns. :-)

Even if not, I don't really see where there would be a problem in using one Adsense account for your and your wife's site(s).

I just read back over the TOS and policies and didn't see anything that would disallow that. They seem more worried about multiple Adsense accounts than multiple websites with one Adsense account.

If you're really paranoid about the situation, you could always form a partnership or business and have an AdSense account in the partnership/business name. Whether Google would let you transfer your account to that or if you'd have to create a brand new account, you'd have to talk to them about it.

You can put your AdSense ads on any site as long as you have a permission from the site owner to do so.

You can but you're risking a divorce.
