Hello ,

i have seen a lot of posts that speak about going full time .

reasons could be that they are getting > 4 figure / month .

But what will you do working full time @ adsense?

i mean does it take 8 hours to publish something or to advertise for your site?

Most of us have access to there pc in there jobs / universities / school / when traveling etc ..

They can check and see what's happening during the day and be sure evrything is ok .

can someone tell me what a full time adsenser will do (Except writing articles ...) with a full time job in adsense?

Well, if you need to go outside to get material for your content (like I do), you might be spending a lot of time on the road and in foreign countries...

Oh... and I would be careful logging in to your Adsense account from your school or job...

It's because a full time job gets you nowhere. You have some security but unless you have a high paid job you won't get rich. The Internet on the other hand gives people opportunities to earn a lot, some people on this forum earn a lot more than $10,000 a month.

Going full-time gives you more time to develop your websites, this could result in a huge earnings boost.

i mean does it take 8 hours to publish something or to advertise for your site?

It depends. Some people want more free time while other work 8 hours a day. Some people even work a LOT more than 8 hours a day in the week plus a bunch of hours in the weekends too.

It also gives you more time to diversify.

But what will you do working full time @ adsense?

For this year in schedule:

14 fairs, some of them will be visited several days. If my income development is good, one will be even about 10.000km away

Prepare many tests and evaluations.

Visit several interesting projects to write reports about them.

Make at last 100 pages from the family vacation to turn it to business expenses.

The general schedule is an average of 4 new pages per day.

I agree with you 100%. I'm trying to finish my website in the office, and it's taking me forever to finish.

Zygoot, I admire your enthusiasm and drive and I'm sure they will stand to you as you go fulltime into web publishing. However I would caution you against making such sweeping statements as:
It's because a full time job gets you nowhere.

I would rephrase to "a fulltime job limits your ability to make money quickly". Your statement more or less says that those in full time jobs are chumps and are wasting their time. I'm sure there are many high powered professionals in the financial/legal/medical worlds who followed the traditional career ladder route who would treat $10,000 a month as nothing more than a chunk of change. Just saying.

I think the trick is knowing when to give up that full-time job.

If you have a decent amount of savings, and can afford to dedicate a certain amount of time to developing and promoting your website, you only have your determination and desire to worry about.

But if you are flat broke and need your full-time job to pay bills, debt, etc., then quitting may not be the best option.

I agree with idea: "To really be successful in this biz, you should consider dedicating yourself to it full-time. That is almost impossible to do with a full-time job where you work for someone else."

I tell you... I have tons of ideas about how I could better develop my site/biz (i.e. attending seminars, conferences, etc.) but it's difficult when you don't have a ton of money you can use to support it.

I think it depends on what you want out of life. What kind of person are you? The vast majority of people need a job because they would not be able to organize their working days themselves, to develop a vision, follow a business plan, take risks, motivate themselves etc. They depend on others to tell them what to do. There is only a very small percentage of people who need any others to tell them what to do. Those are the leaders, the ones who create companies and employ thousands of others. Don't get me wrong, I would not consider myself belonging to that category of leaders, at least not yet. This is a learning process. So, if you can organize their own day, you have a full time job working on your website and you will be able to generate a stable income and most importantly, you will be building a property (your website) that is yours rather than working for somebody else. If they fire you, what will you have? Your website will stay with you as long as you want...

I'd imagine that if you had a job that paid that much you wouldn't really be interested in stop working to go fulltime with adsense! In fact they'd be more likely to be saving up their money to provide venture capital for start-ups ...

Absolutely nothing.

Running a website is work too, you're just self-employed.

When to stop working for OTHERS is simple, when the website makes enough to sustain your lifestyle and/or you're very close to taking a loaded shotgun and unloading it in the office the next time your boss asks for a schedule, that's time to quit.

Is there any reliable statistic as to how many people are making a living off adsense? I've seen articles in the mainstream media about people making a living off ebay trading but haven't come across any hard figures on adsense.
