Ads stopped showing

but still show if i view the url with an argument

so basically what the title says.. my main page has stopped showing ads completely, but if i view the same page while passing an argument, the ads show.

obviously google is seeing it as a different page,.. but whats the deal with ads not showing by default?

a little worried since i got linked on a major site yesterday and had many times the amount of traffic i typically get

all other pages on my account are behaving normally.

edit: the page contains *some* profanity.. i realize its against the TOS to have excessive profanity but thats a judgement call so i doubt thats the problem?(ie i dont think google would have an automated system judging "excessive profanity"
