I run a couple of blog-type sites with lots of updates through the day.
The ads delivered by Google are close but tend not to be as precise as they should. I'm wondering if I need to mess with the meta tags more or use one of those robot index, follow commands. I keep posts from about 12 days up on the main index page, with the most recent posts always at the top of the main center column (it's a 3-col layout).
Anyone have any suggestions? I'd just like the ads to better key in on the subject of my posts.

MediaPartner, the GoogleBot that comes to index your pages with AdSense ads, comes to index the pages that humans have previously viewed.
I don't think that the meta robot would change anything.
Maybe the themes of your last posts are too different?

It has previously been reported here that new pages are crawled very quickly, within minutes to a few hours, whereas existing pages that are updated are not recrawled for days or even more than a week.

If your pages only have 12 days of comments, you'll likely never receive the optimal ads based on the most current ones if it does work this way.
