I wold like to hear more about these google tags..
<!-- google_ad_section_start -->

<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

How well do they work in targeting specific keywords? Will the ads on the site reflect the words or phrases with these tags around them? What is there to watch out for when using them?

I have been noticing ads on my site that are not targeting the content at all for some pages and for other pages the targeting is great.
I have seen my ctr go from 12% to 6.5% I am very worried!

Any advise?

I've used them successfully on a few pages that had a chunk of irrelevant content to be ignored.

They are meant to be used around sections of content--IMO trying to use them around specific words will not work.

But if you have a navigation bar with words in that are setting off the wrong ads, try the ignore tag.

Or if there is one paragraph on a page that really expresses the theme of the page, try the emphasize one.

And by the way, a CTR of 6.5% isn't all that bad. You can probably tweak it upward, but at least part of the dropoff may be that your regulars are no longer clicking on the ads, having seen them before.

I have tried using the tags and they don't work for me...also the pages with the untarget ads all show the same ads even though the topics on the 10 or so pages are totally seperate..
Any ideas?
