and in my post, i don't know what happened on sunday but EPC soared skyhigh. totally out of the norm. and we did not do anything on sunday -- no change in colors, no change in ad layout. so as i said, i do not know what happened. i do not know if it is a result of tweaking. whatever the reason, this is a very welcome outlier.

My EPC yesterday was the highest it has ever been since I've been in the program since 7/1. Unfortunately, it's not carrying through today.

It looks like everyone had a bad Saturday... and Sunday's figures were adjusted for that. Perhaps some of the Saturday's earnings are actually showing as received on Sunday.

I do not believe G made any changes to payouts on Sunday but IF they did then the earliest you'd see any evidence of those changes will be tomorrow, if that. It's too early to jump to any conclusions based on Sunday's figures. I repeat, and it has been said here often enough, stats do not update all the figures each time they are updated. And you cannot rely on figures that are from "part" of a day. If G carried Saturday's figures forward to Sunday that's evidence that you cannot even rely on one whole day's figures to come to any conclusions; you do have to look at a longer time frame.

But I suppose we'll continue to get "I've just earned $1.36 more in the last hour than in the hour before" kind of posts :-(

Macro, your argument doesn't hold any water when referring to EARNINGS PER CLICK which is what alika and I are commenting on.

Regardless if the reported amounts are from previous days but not reported until Sunday, that doesn't change the fact that our EPC for that day was higher than ever.

Nobody said that your EPC was not higher on Sunday. Mine was too. My point is that to draw any conclusions from that - along the lines of changed pay-out rates - is too pre-mature to even be called silly.

My comments were targeted at Alika's assumption that Google tweaked something on Sunday - presumably he means payout rates - and at his excitement that the extra revenue/EPC is a long term feature (msg 29).

as i said, i recognize sunday's 3x-the-normal-EPC as a very welcome OUTLIER. Sure i hope that the trend continues, but i am looking at this as an aberration more than anything else. our saturday was the lowest ever for the month in terms of revenue although EPC was just about average. if sundays sharp rise was an adjustment for saturday so be it. i am just pleasantly surprised. since joining the program in june, i haven't seen an EPC this high.

We have had the same issue. Perhaps Sunday was just an adjustment. Time will tell. And I hope I'm wrong :-)
