How many new pages / contents should an adsenser add daily?

if all his visitors come from search engines .

I have added none in 5 years. Traffic continues to climb, adsense income has gone from 2.5k to 3.9k in the last two years.

It all depends on your topic. Obviously that wont work for a news site! Or a Camera review site etc.

I have a site that I haven't updated for about 6 months. And it is bringing in a modest 5-10 bucks a day. OK, I have spent many, many hours in the years before building the site, but right now it is just a modest money machine, making me a couple of thousand bucks each year. Other sites I have to update every week the bring back them visitors and their clicks.
But as your site grows and become more authoritve, it will attract visitors and clicks, even if you don't update for a long while.

Because of the nature of my site, I have to add continous content. I do it once weekly.

It depends on the site. I have a website about history which keeps pushing 20-30 dollars/day and it's not even out of the sandbox. Medieval history has been relevant for a couple hundred years and I don't see why it should be getting old any time soon =)

On the other hand, I know several people who have xbox-related websites and if they fail to update, their visitors go to GameSpy - it's all about the niche.

I have an online magazine, so fresh content is important. I try to add at least one page a day, but sometimes I can only add one page every three or four days.

when i started my first website (a month ago) I read not to plan on having any traffic (from google at least) for at least 1 year, and to use that time to build content - so i made a commitment to myself to add at least one new page per day. So far i've kept that commitment.

my 2nd site is a forum, so all the members write the content for me! it thought it would be easy, but now the hard part is GETTING members.. I may have miscalculated the ease of a forum..
