AdSense Sites for Sale on eBay: Worth the Investment?

Hello from Australia (but I`m Italian so I do speak and write Italian much better than English! So be patient and forgive my mistakes please :-))

I`m browing ebay from days and I`m very tempted to buy some "already-ready websited with ADSENSE" but:

1) some sellers clearly exagerate about potential revenues

2) I think they are selling just copies (except few rare cases) and too many copies what will produce?

3) Some charge a monthly hosting fees that I don`t really like....why do I need to pay host for something does not need a lot of bandwith?

4) I know how to create very simples websites with Frontpage but nothing with Flash , PHP, etc.

5) People would never sell something profitable for less than ATLEAST 1 year amount of the profits.....unless they are copies of copies of copies....right?

Well...I think I wrote what I think but I know very little about this but I`m very interested....I see checks of people who get 30,000 US $ monthly.....Jesus..I would be happy to pay my UNI fees with 300 US $ a month.......which would be 10 dollars daily. How hard can be? For sure buying copies is not the solution.
ANY ADVICE is VERY WELCOME!
Thanks to all in advance!
CIAO!

Don't do it. Create your own site.

I tried it years ago. It isn't worth it. You will spend more time reconstructing the site than what it would take creating from scratch.

Welcome to WW Italiandragon...

Like others have said, it is a big waste of time. Create your own site and create your own content. It will pay off later.

Maybe if you're really lucky you may be able to find a gem but the chances are slim. eBay is full of worthless sites IMO.

Especially avoid the ones that scream you'll make $x,#*$! a week.

If the owner was making so much money from the site, why would he want to sell it?

I guess he's just tired of making money!

just build your own site, it will give you way better results. learna little php and flash along the way and you'll be making 10$ a day in a few months*.

*if you put some decent work in your site and don't expect money falling from the sky, that is. But then again 10$ a day is a goal that can be reached without having to sacrifice your firstborn, so go for it.

Pure crap.

If they were so great they would guard them with their life instead of sell them for $19.99

Those sites can only be useful for those that have been kicked out of the Adsense program. Stay off them if you can.

I know where you can buy 155 70 page sites. For 19 dollars.

But what you could do is translate them with software into 5 languages and post them! I have actually thought about this. I even asked adsense if it would be ok and they said yes!

What do you recon?

I don't think it's a good idea for 2 reasons:

- the pages translated with a translator would be of poor quality (poor quality = poor SERPS = few visitors = little money).
- unless the translator has a bulk-translating mode, you would have to translate them one by one.

But you never know... maybe it could bring some money -- do share your experience with us once you've tried your idea.

I will not be bothering! But I already have "bulk translation software"...

But I did already convert 2 of my own legit genuine sites into 4 extra languages. It works! It may read like crap but it brings lots of traffic and they just click the english link.

well.......MANY THANKS to all of you guys for your opinions and thanks for welcomming me :)

Yes, I guess I will start by myself.....I just wanted external advice and that confirmed my impressions.

But still......if you have a look, it`s amazing how many people still buys some websites even for hundreds $. I wonder if they just buy them for the design or because they are fool.

Many times I questioned sellers asking how many copies they were going to sell but no one answered me.
Yes.....it`s just the new business there: fooling people with dreams.

Thanks again, I guess I must read a lot of this forum.
Take care.
