Hi, As a complete newbie to Adsense can you tell me if Google allow you to buy web traffic that just redirects traffic from expired domains? I have read the Google instructions etc and realise that hey will not allow anything from such things as auto surf sites and pop up or pop unders but what about truely redirected traffic?

Why don't you email AdSense support?

IF your website is a review site for blue widgets AND IF you could limit the expired domain traffic you buy to traffic that is redirected from defunct websites that focused on blue widgets AND IF the visitors who click a link believing their action will take them to ExpiredDomainWebsite are not offended by the hijacking of their intention or mission by redirect when their click-choice takes them to your website THEN it might make policy sense to allow such traffic.

Hope that makes sense.

Ask AdSense.

I suspect that if it's general expired domain traffic, traffic that is untargeted to your website's topic, then it's junk unfiltered traffic of discomfited visitors and therefore such traffic buys are or ought to be prohibited.

Two things:

1. "Domain parking" is allowed because Google can target ads to the domain name. But if you redirect domain traffic to a different site then the traffic will inevitably be untargeted and useless. Not to mention discomfited (thanks for the word, Webwork).

2. Look at the small print these companies have in their contracts. For the sites I have looked at, not all the traffic is from expired domains. Even the small print may not fully disclose how much of the traffic actually comes from less ethical forms of traffic-building such as spyware, popunders, blind links, etc.
