Ok so I have been using adsense for about two weeks and I am getting anyway from 15 - 80 clicks a day.

Now I understand that I get paid for impressions for example 3.00/1000 impressions.

So for example if I get 2000 visits today and 80 clicks and I only make $6.00 then what am I getting for all those clicks?

I am not convinced yet that adsense is a scam.

Getting paid for impressions only occurs when your site has been specifically targeted ("site targeting") by one advertiser. That advertiser's ad will be the only ad in the adblock and might visually appear ever-so-slightly different than when an adblock displays just one ad due to a supply shortage or due to one of Google's ad testing projects.

Most of the ads you see are not of this type. Most of the ads are CPC.

Ok so then what I am getting pad for is actually cpc which in my case just happens to work out to be close to the value of impressions?

yes its mostly cpc. Furthermore, paid impressions is sort of statistical data used to calculate how worthy is your site, from teh advertisers point of u.
