Recently, I was having a coffee at starbucks when two guys was talking about making money from Google adsense. They mention a good place to start was your forums. I would like to get in on the action. Could someone tell me what I need to do to get started. I am willing to do the research where necessary. Thanks for your help.

I would recommend reading the Adsense library and the recent posts on this forum. I am also a newbie and have learned A LOT from these resources.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld! Here is my small contribution to the art:

How to cash in on Google Adsense.
(A Short Play in Three Acts)

Act 1

Create a content-rich, quality website about a topic you feel passionate about and/or know a lot about.

Act 2

Apply for an AdSense account and put the Adsense code on your web pages.

Act 3

Profit!

Thank you! I'll be here all night!

But seriously, folks.

My advice: Don't buy the "Make Billions on Google AdSense" ebooks. They're honestly not going to tell you anything you won't find here other than, maybe, the ebook sellers' "bank statements" showing their millions. The ebook guys are really, really fabulous at making you want to buy their ebook. They're honestly masters of persuasion. But their content is kind of rehashed stuff a lot of people know, and a lot of it is so out of date it's hardly worth looking at!

Don't buy the "Make Billiions with Adsense" amazing websites ready to go on eBay. The search engines are figuring this out in quick order, and the ability to make money on these is going to stop really soon now.

Take some time and read through the the stuff here. It will take some doing, but honestly, what I put above is pretty much it.

Oh -- and you can try to pick high dollar keywords and try to build a site around those, and in the short run, that may make you a buck or two, but in the long run, a quality site about a topic you're passionate about will make lots more money going forward.

At least, this has been my experience.
