very low eCPM for high paying niche

We have re launched (stopped in late 2002 and started in early 2006) one of the popular sites of 2002 of its niche (more than 400K unique visitors a month) with new domain. The niche is high paying. After running adsense for more than 20 days i observed now very low eCPM say about 0.86 and normal CTR.

Why it’s happening? Any thoughts?

I guess the site is partially crawled by other search engines. Google has already crawled all pages. the major source of traffic is off course Google and i bet its all relevant traffic.

Is there something to do with Smart Price Algo?

Yeah i know! from the day 5 i am getting avg 500 uniques a day, but the question is why so low eCPM?
