i usually keep a good track of ads shown on my sites and was amazed to see Google Adsense Advert in a 336 * 280 block

is it just coincidense i turned off "Onsite Advertiser Sign-Up"? so they then choose to show their own ads?

i must also say, that i bet if someone clicked on it, signed up, i wouldn't get the referral $$ down the track

also, for those wondering, the ad is entitled webmaster resources, so it does actually fit my site content, somewhat. so i suppose i cant really complain, i just thought it was weird

cheers
mike

Google does occasionally advertise our own products and features through AdWords. The ads compete in the same auction process as any other ad (meaning an ad for 'AdSense' should only appear on your site if 1) it is relevant and 2) it represents the highest revenue potential for you at a given time). Just like any ad served through the AdSense program, you will be compensated for clicks to the ad.

Hope that clarifies!
